PITCH PINE
This is the most popular product. It is a tropical hardwood and only comes from structural timber and therefore does not need seasoning.
It is Sold in thicknesses of (in inches) 3 and a quarter; 4 and a quarter; 5 and a quarter; 6 and a quarter; 7 and a quarter; and 8 and a quarter
(again the most popular width) but lengths cannot be specified.
As a rule Pitch Pine is always available in shorter lengths than Yellow Pine, usually 17ft by 9ft.
